Ulriken Opp will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, bringing together runners from all over Bergen and the region for one of Norway's most spectacular uphill races. All distances share a common finish line under the Ulriken mast at the summit of Ulriken – 605 meters above sea level – with views over the city of Bergen and out towards the North Sea.
The race offers three distances to suit all levels and age groups. Grieg Oppstemten Opp is the competition distance of 2.2 km with 512 meters of elevation gain, and starts from the lower station of Ulriksbanen. Drevelin Montana Classic is the classic distance for the fun run and fitness run, 1.75 km from Montana, with a common start for both the fun run class with timing and the fitness run class without. CaniCross lets you run the same course together with your dog – a collaboration with Bergen Trekkhundklubb with a limited number of spots.
The event is suitable for everyone – from competitive runners aiming for a podium finish, to families and recreational participants who want to experience the joy of reaching the top. In the finish area at Skyskraperen Restaurant and Café, there are catering services and space for 250 people on the outdoor seating.
Below you will find complete information on distances, age categories, entry fees, and practical details.
